The one thing that motivates me more than anything else

It’s not my family. It’s not money. It’s not fame.

It’s the fact that I’m going to die someday.

I’m not about to open up a philosophical discussion about the meaning of life or what happens after we die. I want to focus on right now.

Right now you are alive. But right now isn’t forever, it’s fleeting.

And at some point your fleets will run out.

You won’t be alive. You’ll be dead.

I’m glad we cleared that up.

I bring up this morbid topic because:

A.) It’s true.

B.) Not many people live like it’s true.

I’ve encountered plenty of people who live their life like it will go on forever.

Someday I’ll do that one thing I’ve always wanted to do.

Tomorrow I’ll be a better person.

Maybe next year I’ll finally leave this soul-sucking job and find something more fulfilling.
